Dawn Nicole Lettering Week 4... and other lettering fun

Does anyone else like to multitask? I do! Lots of times while I'm eating, I'll do something else... and often it's hand lettering. Mealtimes and snack times are when I'm sitting down with one hand free anyway, so why not make use of that? (And FYI? That banana muffin-in-a-mug - in my case, bowl - was really yummy. ;P)

I finally finished the February Dawn Nicole lettering prompts! Here are a few pics of my pages... do y'all like the fun, bright colors or the classic black and white better?

I've also done a few other lettering projects since last time I posted about my lettering.

I have a habit of collecting quotes that stand out to me during sermons. The back few pages of my church notebooks are full of random bits and pieces from sermons and different thoughts that come to mind during services (most of them relate to what's being preached... :D).

And then ...drum roll... I am super excited about this next thing I'm sharing with y'all! I've been wanting to do a bullet journal ever since I was bitten by the lettering bug... and I finally am starting one! I got a couple dot grid journals on Amazon to try out (no way was I getting the $20 or so ones that all of the "professionals" use, so I found these much more affordable ones here and here) and some other fun accessories (washi tape, more brush pens to replenish my stock, and a helpful book).

And then I was at Walmart the other night and found yet another dot grid journal and some colorful markers (find similar here) on sale... and I couldn't resist. (In my defense - I only got one of the journals instead of the other one or two that were there!)

And with all of these new supplies and a new month coming up in a few days, I had no more excuse to postpone doing a bullet journal (or BuJo, as they're commonly called) anymore. Not that I was looking for an excuse to postpone it... I just never got around to it. And as a side note: you don't need all of these supplies to do a bullet journal. They're just fun and I have a (ahem, confession time!) very strong weakness for new office supply things, most especially journals and pens.

Oh, and another side note. Those markers in the pic above do bleed through the pages of my current bullet journal... so, so much for that fun idea (and it would probably be a good idea to have a testing page at the back of my bullet journal to see if they bleed through :\). I'll have to save those for projects with card stock or something.

I took some time last night to spread out everything and do some planning for this next month (well, the beginning - and fun - stages of planning: namely, creating the pages). Oh, and I changed the 7 hours of sleep to 8, because I really need at least 8 hours to function properly, and the 6000 steps to 10,000, because that's my ultimate goal. Good luck to me. :| :D

Doesn't this picture make me look so smart and organized?? Because that's sure not what it looks like or feels like inside of my brain. ;P And I couldn't really get a good angle without my feet in the pic... sorry.

Do any of you like lettering or drawing? Or keeping any type of journal? And do any of the rest of you have a weakness for new office supplies? Please comment and let me know I'm not the only one!
